Macie drew back. Then she spoke. "They were arguing; one of them said he had a bad feeling, and seemed like he didn't want to do it."
White Wind frowned and nodded. "He was probably seeing if he could back out. It's not uncommon." Macie remembered what one had said about going to jail and the other starting to say something, and felt like there was more to their plan. She could see she wouldn't get a chance to tell White Wind. The older actionhero had already begun to explain her plan. "I'll go next to the door and disarm them as they come through. You don't have the experience yet, so wait here." Then she exited, Macie watching her though the slit of an opening between the door and its frame. Macie flinched as the doorknob turned, but White Wind hurried into position just in time.
