Two sides

Sergio reflexively looked up as shards of wood and plaster flew inward. People screamed and shouted. The door wasn't ripped off its hinges. It was ripped out along with part of the wall. The hulking man roared, a little bloody but without any dislocations or broken bones that Sergio could see. He'd torn the handcuffs clear off of one hand. The Ghost'd seen examples of superstrength before, but this was… wow. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and closed his eyes for a second as he made a game plan.
The guy was blocking his path to his suit and vest and already threatening people, so he'd have to do this invisibly. Man, was he lucky that he could do something like this without risking his identity. It would be no big deal for him to slip into the men's room to keep anyone from catching his vanishing act. Then, to keep damage to a minimum… Yeah, that's what he'd try to do. Perfect.
A moment later he sprinted out, dodging around to get behind the attacker, who was clearly looking for him but too angry to speak. As The Ghost stepped behind him, the crook took a half-step back, bowling Sergio over. His skull cracked on the ground and the world went fuzzy for a second. The giant man turned towards the sound, but for the moment, it was all The Ghost could do to stay invisible. Lucky for him, the guy decided it was nothing and turned away again. Sergio took a deep breath and pushed himself back onto his feet. Well, it wouldn't be any fun if it was easy, would it?

****************

Meanwhile, across town, a reporter who was usually very proper checked into a hotel under her name. She was with a man she'd only met that week for a whirlwind weekend, and starting to think maybe she shouldn't have. Granted, he was no less attractive and mysterious- she might get a good story out of him as a bonus- but this was the first really wild thing she'd ever done. She kept hearing her mother's voice inside her head telling her to act right and not to be shameful. It continued as her companion followed her up to their hotel room. She opened the door, and he leaned in. Her mother's voice was drowned out by his kiss, and she shut the door.
